Your online shopping safety and security is important for us. For this reason, the entire checkout process is encrypted using an SSL Security Certificate. (Secured Socket Layer is the internet most common standard in information encryption).

Pages with address that begins with https://maddepot.com/...... or https://www.maddepot.com/..... are secured. (the letter ‘S’ after the http stands for ‘Secured’). Only checkout pages in your shopping cart need to be secured, in order to protect your personal information, which may only be exchanged in those pages. All other pages would not ask you for any personal information and so they do not need this security feature. (which if installed on those pafes, may significantly slow down your browsing and shopping experience)

On occasion, some browsers may warn you about changing between a secured and non-secured zones, (for example, when you return from your secured checkout page to view a product page or shop more) – this is OK and you can freely allow the browser to continue.

You may also get occasional warning that a page contains both secured and non-secured items. This is simply because while the text on the page is encrypted and protected, the graphics and images on that page are not encrypted (for the sake of speed). This is OK too – you may allow the browser to continue.

Like any secure site, you can obtain a current security report in your browser (It will show you that we indeed own our certificate, what authority issued it to us, when, where and when it expires, and what level of encryption security  it offers).
